2 1/2 cups flour
1 tsp salt
1 tbsp sugar
1 cup shortening
Mix as for pie crust, add egg yolk in cup filled to 2/3 with milk. Roll out half of the dough and put in jelly roll pan.
Sprinkle a couple handsful of corn flakes (crushed) on the dough
Slice about 8 apples over dough. Sprinkle 1 cup sugar and a little cinnamon over
Roll out other half of dough and put over the top
Whip up egg white until frothy and brush over top crust.
Bake 1 hour in moderate oven
Make icing of 1 cup powdered sugar and add enough milk to spread easily
spread while bar is warm (or Drizzle over top)
